Having trained in Michelin starred restaurants, Josh Mann and Chris Moore believe that making food that you love to eat yourself is the key to creating something really special. Using their own custom-built smoker, they cook only the very best, locally sourced meats over a real fire and they taste and smell amazing. Menus include nose to tail hog roasts on brioche buns with delicious sauces and condiments.

Pizza Leonati creates authentic Neapolitan pizza with tender, pillowy bottoms with big fragrant holes in the dough after cooking very quickly over extremely high heat. When cut their dough tis pliable and bends easily under the weight of their delicious toppings. They cook in a range of unique vehicles, catering for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and carnivorous diets.
Update 2021
The team quickly developed a thriving pizza home delivery service last March during the first lockdown. They also operated their Vintage Pizza Truck at a large very busy open air pub that chose not to open it’s kitchen all summer. They added two new exciting vehicles to their fleet, including the world’s first 3 oven London Pizza Cab and a fully fitted London Coffee Cab.

The BBQ Project was built on a dream a decade ago to create a food truck that used fresh, local produce to create innovative bbq style dishes and having the freedom to change and adapt for every event it would attend. Catering at festivals, fairs, weddings, private and corporate events, the team at the BBC Project have 20 years of catering experience and love nothing more than creating food in front of their customers and greeting them face to face.

SUSSEX STREET FOOD OF THE YEAR
Our winner will offer great food to be eaten in a mobile situation, including as many local ingredients as possible. Finalists will participate in a live competition at Horsham on 27th October.

Our winner will be aged 25 or under on 31/01/20, working or studying in Sussex, with a talent for creating a wonderful menu of creative dishes using local ingredients.

Our winner will be an innovative business from any part of the food and drink sector, supporting local produce, which has been trading for up to 3 years by end 2019; has the ambition and determination to succeed; and can demonstrate a realistic and sustainable business plan.

YOUNG SUSSEX FARMER OF THE YEAR
Our winner will be a young farmer aged 35 or under by end 2020. They can come from any sector within agriculture, horticulture or viticulture and must be involved in food or drink production. They could be part of the family farm (owned or tenanted), a student, an employee or self-employed. This young person should display the following attributes: vision; leadership; innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship; ability to incorporate new ideas and practices; ability to inspire others; and the desire to succeed and grow business.
