The Half Moon is a beautiful Grade II Listed building in Kirdford and a fantastic country pub, restaurant and kitchen garden where local Sussex guests are at the very heart of all operations. Brought to you by Jodie Kidd and her passionate business partners in 2017, The Half Moon is now one of THE places to go for good food and wine in Sussex. They were first awarded 2 AA rosettes in 2018 and have regained them for 6 years running. They also had the pleasure to feature at Tom Kerridge’s “Pub in The Park” events from 2019-2022 and made it to number 54 in the Estrella Damm top 100 gastro pub list.
The Half Moon Kirdford’s award-winning ethos is simple; they source quality, local seasonal ingredients and use modern techniques and international flavours to create dishes that are recognisable but evoke a smile, then top it off with old-fashioned hospitality, where the guest is made to feel like nothing is wanted or needed for. Their menu is always evolving with the seasons and back by popular demand is their delicious pub classics from their 2017 menu, making their return for ‘CLASS-SIX’, every Wednesday from the 9th April. From their amazing prawn cocktail, deep-fried ham fritter and mushy peas, to fresh locally-sourced fish and homemade tartar sauce, to home-butchered shepherds pie, their pub classics will always be a piece of home at a great price. Why not wash your delicious meal down with some Sussex-brewed Firebird craft beer now served at The Half Moon, as well as many tasty local beverage choices? There truly is something for everyone.
