Carne in Hove

Carne is back! They’re the same crew with the same love for great meat, exceptional local produce, and good times, but now with a more casual spirit, a smaller, focussed leaner menu and a fresh new address in Hove to call home. Carne’s return is about recapturing everything you loved before, while keeping things focused, intentional and just that little bit more special.

You’ll find all the Carne favourites from their legendary juicy steaks to the comforting sides, now joined by a few new dishes they’re excited for you to get your hands on. Their menu may be smaller, but every choice is deliberate and designed thoughtfully to deliver maximum flavour. The focus remains on high-welfare British meat and locally sourced ingredients, all served in the relaxed, welcoming style that made Carne a much-loved part of Brighton and Hove’s dining scene. Some highlights from the new menu include a fabulous range of steaks, from fillet, ribeye, sirloin and many more cuts to choose from. Perhaps kick off your meal with a Caprese salad with only the best local tomatoes, pair your chosen steak with a Brighton blue cheese sauce, sample one of their unique cocktails, and complete your meal with a carefully selected local cheese board. Despite their meat-loving mission, fresh vegetarian options are available. Their brand-new location comes with a hidden back garden, a little sanctuary where you can linger over drinks with friends, as well as a front terrace made for people-watching and soaking up the buzz of the neighbourhood. Whether you’re in the mood for a full steak indulgence or just to swing by for snacks and a glass of something cold, Carne is a place to relax into.
