Through their great charity and organic shop, the heart of Tuppenny Barn’s approach is the promotion of sustainable living in all its forms. This underpins everything they do, and their aspiration is to be a beacon of sustainability for the community they serve. They are passionate about food and knowing where it comes from. At Tuppenny they grow their fruit and vegetables the organic way because it is better for our health and our planet.
Their shop is brimming with all the produce you need for a weekly shop and fresh, seasonal, organic fruit and vegetables. They have even been known to pop down to the field to pick while the customer waits! All further fruit and vegetables are from two other local organic wholesalers. They also sell homemade jams and chutneys, as well as other items from local producers and honey from their own hives and when it has sold out, they supply honey from another local producer. Their bakery section is delicious, containing a range of organic, artisan bread, including rye, seed, walnut, ciabatta, focaccia, and pastries such as croissants and almond croissants. They also stock local eggs from Rookery Farm in Bognor Regis, which are organic and from happy, free-range hens. Sussex sustainability everywhere!
